Medal card on Ancestry shows awarded the Victory Medal, British Medal and the 1915 Star.
Theatre of was first served in recorded as France 24.8.15

Unfortunately, like so many others, his Service records don't appear to have survived.

If they were buried in Hartlepool (where I was born) then the lady in the cemetery office in Stranton Grange Cemetery is really helpful and will look up deaths for you for any cemetery in Hartlepool. They have really good records and if you are local to the area you could call in and they have maps of the cemetery and will mark on the map where any grave is situated. I have never had to pay anything for this service.

Doesn't look to be room for a Joseph 1888 or 1893-ish

3 appear to have died very early and whilst the 1911 says no children have died, I wondered if Isabella was theirs in view of Mother's name - EDIT - but not unless they forgot to count her in the 12. ?Same could be said for other 2 not counted
