What is the relationship, please?

Rachel was known as Auntie Rachel when we were kids. And I know great grandad parnham was known as pops, He lived with Auntie Rachel just off Dysart Rd, Grantham. Just down from the chip shop. But I'm not sure if it was on Nellie's side or Georges side.

Nellie and George were my Grandparents, my mum was one of there 3 daughters, Elizabeth Ann.

You say "great grandad parnham".

Do you mean YOUR great grandad? Or Rachel's? What was his first name?
Do you mean Rachels father William?

If his name was Parnham, he can't have been the father of either Nellie or George.

Is it possible that the Parnhams weren't related to Nellie and George at all? Maybe Rachel was just an honorary "auntie" because the families became very friendly because of Nellie living with them during the war?


Or maybe the Watson or Bennett families were already friendly with the Parnhams before the war.

That's interesting -
when I was looking earlier for William Parnham's birth c1883 (Rachel 1917's father), and eventually decided on the illegitimate birth in Sleaford in 1879 (posted at 09:59), even though it was a bit early, the one I had considered at first was this:
