Trying to find birth/baptism/parents of Margaret Moorish c 1791 - 1872.

Have all census 1841 -1871; in last two she is "recipient of Parochial Relief" but when she dies, her will probate says "Estate under £5000".
She was at Barker Stakes, Pickering North Yorkshire as a widow in 1861/1871 and died there.
Have tracked all her children, none of them feature in her later life.
She married Matthew Ward in 1820 in Pickering, he died 1854 and was a Publican & Farmer 1841; Ag Lab 1851.

Ancestry not showing anything for surname at all in Yorkshire apart from Baptism of Robson Moorish in Scarborough 1794 son of John & Elizabeth.

but no baptisms on fmp

All census have PoB Helmsley but nothing showing for there. Frances may be aunt given dates and Robson (FSO) may be brother but without a link can't get parents. Really trying to find where the £5000 came from!

It's a bit of a long shot, but the nearest I can see is this one - she wasn't necessarily baptised soon after birth:

Thank you for those. They will take a bit of unpicking and checking but I do think/agree that the surname may be a variant and Moorhouse is possible. I do know that some vicars had problems with writing "broad Yorkshire" even in York.

So it looks like the baptism for a Margaret Moorhouse 1794 by dad Francis is correct

Maybe Francis to Roger Moorhouse 1747 died as there is another Francis baptised by Roger 24/8/1752
Francis Moorhouse married 4/5/1779 in lythe Yorkshire to Hannah Allison witnessed by Robert shout and Frances Allison

Wasn't Allison the middle name of John one of Francis's children?

A tree on ancestry .co.uk has DNA connection to Roger Moorhouse born Helmsley died Horncastle lincolnshire 1710-1770

But therefore the Francis who married Ellin in 1796 isn't the one born c1753, who married Hannah.
He must be the one baptised 1777 with father John (posted earlier by Maddie).
John's baptism also posted by Maddie - 1737, father Roger.
