I find no trace of Richard Atkinson after 1911 - perhaps he was killed in WW1 - thousands of Atkinsons were - see CWGC site.

So Fred died in 1952 and the lady Maggie was owner of the house and my Aunty was a lodger.

Hilda was Peter Atkinson daughter and that now all fits together

Those aeroplanes were made by Fred

She was alive around 1975 do not know when died but probably after my Grandad died because he would have told me .
He died in his back yard having fallen in the snow and could not get up he was 89 and laid there for 2 hours before next door heard him shouting and died in hospital a couple of days later without coming round

Was that Margaret Unsworth when did Fred die

If he died before 61 that would solve the puzzle Nellie was lodging there
