I think the Reverend was Stephen Matthews and the word after that is Minister. |

The copy I have is Marriages solemized in this Parish of Knockbolt Elizabeth Limer & William Dale appear to have signed their own names it is different writing than the Rev Stephen Mathew M?????? yes Witness as above message could be family but I haven't looked into them as yet |

There were no such things as marriage certs before July 1837 - however, the record you have of the marriage should include names of witnesses, who may - if you're lucky - be related, and not simply 'professional' witnesses called into service because they could write. |

Ancestry also shows a date of 14 June 1835, which may be when banns were called at Knockholt.. |

1861 census says she's born 1806 and 1871 has her born 1804. |

I had another look on Family Search & came up with a birth of a Elizabeth Lymer born 1805 at Croxall Derbyshire (not Staffordshire) it became staffordshire in 1895 with a father Richard born abt 1775 Kingstone & a mother Hannah Heap born abt 1774 Newhall Derbyshire, I wonder if these are her parents? |
