I assume your question (at 17:13) relates to the 1881 census?

The children are with their grandmother, Charles is a boarder in Bury St Edmunds, Eliza is a cook with the Temple family.

Remember that the census only shows the situation on one particular night.
It doesn't necessarily mean that they were living apart long-term.

However, perhaps the marriage had broken up, so that Charles had moved out, and Eliza had a live-in job.. But who knows?!

Have you looked for children of the marriage?

I am trying to find the wife of Charles king born in 1850 In Bury St Edmund Suffolk.
He married in 1875 and on the record there is a Eliza Marshall and Jane Kent with Harry Skinner. I looked up in the 1881 census and found a Harry Skinner with a Jane, so it looks like Charles married Eliza. I don't know anything about Eliza, where born etc, but Charles is married on 1881 and is a boarder in Bury St Edmund. Can anyone help at all please?
