I'm struggling to find antecedents of the above (b 1.Sept 1912 from 1939 register, d 3 Jan 1984). Ancestry indicates there is an obituary notice for him. He was a policeman in Sheffield, where he died. I do not know where he was born. Does anyone have access to the obituary records? Many thanks in advance. |

Yes, he was married. So get a copy of marriage cert to find out if he knew his father |

safc has posted likely baptism with parents first names and this marriage matches the first names and maiden name of mother on one of the births suggested by Catherine . |
