Was your Uncle Albert Worner? If so she must have been Eveline Lizzie Medlicott, formerly Freeman on the marriage cert. |

Hello Rose. It seems I shall have to send for their marriage certificate to get the info.I cannot hope to get the correct birth certificate without more information. I can only see two births with that name and neither registered in Droitwich.. |

Hi Shirley, Thanks for your help. I have hit a brick wall with the birth. So I will have to get the marriage cert after xmas. According to what you say Freeman must be her father's name. |

Bear in mind that she may never have known her father, so anyone named on the marriage cert could be fictitious- or a stepfather |

SORRY LADIES. IT WAS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF HER SON ALBERT CHARLES FREEMAN WORNER WHERE I SAW THE TWO SURNAMES. I STILL NEED TO GET HER MARRIAGE CERTI TO ALBERT WORNER SNR. |

Speculating - simply because it's the only Freemn/Medlicott marriage anywhere in England/Wales |

Ancestry trees can usually be treated as works of fiction |

I agree, Erika. What really concerns me is that so many people copy these trees and add the info to their own tree. |

It strongly looks like her birth wasn’t registered and she may have been taken in by the medlicott family so was known as that name till she married |

But even if her birth wasn't registered, she should still appear on 1871 and 1881 censuses under one name or other - but there's no sign of her. |

Probably a red herring, then, as half expected. |
