Ann is the one who says she was born in Wrexham

Yes I also think she never married but on all census records John was listed as being born in a different place,1881 in crewe,1891 in Wrexham's, cannot find him in 1901 and 1911 dolgellau ffestiniog,
I search everything I find that may give a little hope but I do not think I will be able to go any further back with this line.

She was calling herself a widow 6 years before Thomas was born

my great grandfather, john Edward jones, not even sure if ann married at all only know she was a davies on john's brother' birth certificate, not had any luck getting a certificate for john yet.

Got a feeling, could be relating to below...
