Find Ancestors

I'm trying to locate a Stowe family. Recorded on 1881 census in Chelsea, Samuel, Jane and daughter Alice. Jane was born Sophia Jane Siggs birth date 1850. Samuel born 1846. I have another 2 daughters recorded. Jessie 1885 and Esther 1894, I failed to make notes when I recorded these 2 and now can no longer prove they existed ! I am unable to find any record of the family post 1881 census. I've tried variations on surname but to no avail. Can anyone see something I can't ? Thank you.

I, having failed to progress on this, have just found Samuel as a patient in an 'institution' in Chelsea. 1901 census. Says 'widower'. I have her death recorded as 1906. Something wrong there..

Thanks, I tried the Stow variation and came up with nowt ! Well done. Hadn't clocked the son. She had a great uncle, Charles Thomas Siggs.

I can't see a marriage for them, but I think Samuel was married before?

I think you could be right. Just found a death for a Samuel on freebmd. Registered June '05 Chelsea, age given as 57.
