I think you might be right about that 1841 entry ... would be a bit of a come down, unless he couldn’t find work as a stonemason when he came to St. Helens. |

I wondered if she wet to Liverpool as a servant ... many Welsh girls did. |

I don't like that 1841 Census because it states that father Thomas is a stone mason, yet he is a labourer on every other record that I have seen. Bit of a come-down I would have thought! |

I'm thinking maybe she did not marry William Henry! |

It looks as if William Henry was quite a lot older than Margaret. If this is correct, and it seems to fit, then I wonder how she came to be in Liverpool and then she came back to St. Helens. I can’t find a marriage for them though. |

Is this the parents with Margaret and Robert in 1841 - the 1861 census says born Llangollen. Ages out but as it's the 1841 census it would give birth year of c 1796/7 for Thomas and Margaret |

Trying to find info on Margaret Roberts, born about 1826 in Llangollen, N. Wales. Her parents were Thomas and Margaret. Thomas and Margaret had four children - Ann, b. 1823, John b. 1824, Margaret b. 1826 and Robert b. 1833. The family moved to St. Helens, Lancashire, they're in the 1861 census living at 8 Bath Street - at least Thomas, Margaret and Robert with wife, Ellen. John was already 'married' and no idea where Ann was. |
