My elderly neighbour is 86 and has no family. Im building him a bit of a tree 'story' with photos of locations, BMD certificates etc so this info is really useful to fill in some gaps.
Thankyou everyone!! :-D :-D :-D

Wow thanks ever so much for this info.
Dea Im afraid its not this chap but thankyou very much anyway!
Erika - thats the one!! Just what I needed thankyou so much!
The elderly chap had the names Thomas and Florence in his head so looks like they were the children of the Stonemason. Maybe Thomas followed in his fathers footsteps. The address of Hackness Rd is correct so its definately this one.

Is this the Thomas Redman you are looking for? - He is a widower so I can't see if his wife was Florence but I note that the other person there with him has a connection to the name Parkin which is the same name as the person who Arthur Feeley married?
Is this just a co-incidence?

Unless you can confirm the correct spelling of the surname, we would have no way of knowing whether we had found the right people. Have you tried looking for a marriage between Thomas and Florence?

Yes Maylon thats him aged 6wks. His mother Ellen Feeley as in an 'lunatic asylum' in York in 1911 and died in 1913.
The Redman family fostered him although Ive just realised in 1939 he wouldve already left home. Im still intetested in Thos Redmans household though in 1939
Thanks
