Am wondering if these below mentioned earlier are the same person?...(perhaps Southampton Archives might have something more on him, a Service Number would help)

"On the marriage certificate for Florence on 13th October 1934 her age is given as 23 but as it was only 2 days before her birthday it may be rounded up Her Fathers name is given as William Henry Smith Ship Stoker deceased"

From below NA link AG, google brings up items, but nothing different...

Southampton Archives might have other Newspapers.

FMP has Southern Echo - Southampton, Hampshire, but not finding anything...

48 Bridge Road, seemed to be a Navy Recruiting address...quite a few early 1900 years, as below...Edits (Royal Navy & Marine Recruiting Office)
