Mr William Smith, 26, was born in Birmingham. When signed on to the Titanic on 6th April 1912 he gave his address as 42 Bridge Street, Southampton. His previous ship was the Minnewaska. His wages were £5 a month. Smith died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. |

I am re-visiting this post to try and find any other details about the William Smith that was born in 1886 Birmingham and died on the Titanic in 1912. I need to try and find any spose or children or confirm who his Father/Mother was but having the name Smith is so much harder. Thanks for all the previous help. Pam |

This thread says that death certs for "Titanic" victims were issued in Halifax, Nova Scotia - but only those whose bodies were recovered and identified. |
