There are no Thornborrow births with the MMN of Thompson. Either they were born abroad or adopted.

There's the birth of a Mary C Thornborrow, mms Thompson, in 1940 in Westmorland S reg district.
I know it's before the marriage, but that's the only Thornborrow/Thompson marriage 1920-50 in England/Wales.

Margaret C probably married in 1963 in Westmorland South.

EDIT: that birth is Thornborrow on FreeBMD, but Thornburrow on Ancestry - and is Thornburrow on the GRO Index image - so not a daughter of Margaret & George. There was a Thornburrow / Thompson marriage in Kendal in 1932.
