hi all I am looking for JOHN DUNN he had a son Robert 1828c, who married Mary ann huges in 1852 Liverpool st Nicholas, they are roman catholic from Liverpool area Robert was a mariner and he had son called Robert born1863 who aso was a mariner. |

if the marriage for Robert dunn maria hughes is correct the father of Robert is john dunn but who did he marry?? |

I just can't seem to find Robert on the 1861 or 1881 census to check his birth place, but being a mariner he could have been out at sea. Maria Anna is clearly with her parents and children in 1861. If we could find him we may know where to look for a birth to try to establish his mothers name. |

I could not find Robert on the census but took it he was at sea I started tracking back from garrett dunn 1886 he married 1910 mathra Harriot ashton but also married Elizabeth McGarrigle 1906 was jailed nov 1910 for 3 months for being married without being divorced garrett father was Robert he was mariner fireman |

Re your post 13:07, this is jumping back another generation without establishing the links to your family on the subsequent generations. Highly possible you've just found another John Dunn as it's not an uncommon name. |
