Hi, I wonder if any one can help please. My Grandaughters have been given some school exercise books belonging to their great Grans brother dated 1915 - 1918
I know from previous research that their Great Gran was registered in Bodmin in 1910 It seems she had a brother and his initial on the books is J Chapman and the School was St Kew which is in North Cornwall I don't have any subs running at the moment so I can't help them to find out any more about their Dad's family. I'm hoping someone could look up the 1911 census for us to find out about J and his parents and other sibs. I seem to remember hearing that Mary Known as Vi's family originated from the Forest of Dean but don't know this for sure. Any help on this would be really appreciated
Thanks for taking the time to read through all this
Cathie

Thanks all Vi married John Richards, sorry forgot to put that in my request.
This is great her parents were Earnest Chapman and Ann Hopper married in Camelford, I can't wait for the girls to get back from School.
So I should be able to find other births on freebmd if I'm lucky and find J

Use this site for births and deaths - gives you mmn from start of registration in 1837 (other sites only from Q3 1911 but to 2006 at best) through to 1918 and age at death from 1837 through to 1957 where freebmd and commercial sites start in mid 1860's. If mmn missing, then normally indicates an illegitimate birth

My Goodness I'm over the moon for Rosie and Lily. Vi died age 100 after marrying a seaman and living in Port Issac all her adult life, as always we should have asked these questions when she was alive. The girls have no other way of finding out about their Dad's family other than me
So thank you all so much

EDIT: but I see from Maddie's post above that FMP doesn't show anyone else.
