I am trying to find George Morley, born in 1885 in Thirsk, Yorkshire. I am struggling to find him, if anyone knows anything, I would be grateful. He moved to Sigford in Devon and married my great grandmother, Bessie Honeywill

That should give his age and fathers name ,if known

There's no birth reg in Thirsk

Maybe he lived there for a time so thought that's where he was born

This is probably total nonsense, but, a Groom is a Horseman of sorts, and I can't see anything else for this man on the various records I've looked at.

I cant thank you all enough for looking for me, it is a dead end at the moment, but I plan to put an article in my local newspaper and hopefully that may give some more information about him after he married Miss Eatson in 1951 approximately (I haven't got my file in front of me with the certificate of marriage).
