So Elizabeth has been found!!! Amazing!
Thank you for your efforts.
This leaves just Rosamo(u)nd and Sarah Jane.
Where were they in 1871? I may have to look at the Rosetta marriage, although that may have been ruled out.

No sign of the others - could Rosamond have re-married? She was known as Rose and there is a marriage for a Rosetta in 1862.
Phillip 1861 census details probally rules out the link Rosetta being Rosamond.

Great - this practically rules out the American connection...............although notes from the Workhouse suggest Arabella was going to live with an Uncle.
Father John had no brother called William though.....
Thank you very much for this.

There is a Sarah Rodda arriving Ellis Island from England in 1869 It says she is aged 6 which would make date of birth c.1863 so a little out but could be her. The ship is the City of Brooklyn
NO doesn't look to be your girl either. This Sarah is travelling with:- William Rodda aged 28 Rosina Rodda aged 28 Lucy Rodda and aged 7 William Rodda aged 4

Thank you for these replies - I have seen the Ancestry entry and there is an error or two on it. VERY interesting though - I shall contact the owner to see what evidence they have of them knowing who the parents are - proof of marriage (?) in the US?
Kay??? - not sure what you mean - information for Rosamond Rodda is all correct up until 1862 when she leaves the Workhouse.

Hi
1861 Census in Camborne has John Rodda, 32, Copper Miner, his wife Rose (Rosamond, born Doddiscombsleigh) 30 and children Arabella Mary, 8 (born Doddiscombsleigh), Elizabeth 4 born Camborne, John 2 born Camborne and Sarah Jane, 3 months born Camborne.
No trace of family in 1871 or subsequent ones................except Arabella marries John Wallser on 7 October 1871 in Kingsbridge, Devon.
There is then a very unfortunate set of happenings. Husband John dies in 1861.
Rosamond, together with her children, ended up in the workhouse in 1862 and she was also imprisoned for running, what could only be described as, a brothel.
One of her children, John, died in 1862, leaving Elizabeth, Sarah Jane and Arabella.
Arabella is accounted for, as she marries John Wallser in 1871.
No sign of the others - could Rosamond have re-married? She was known as Rose and there is a marriage for a Rosetta in 1862.
Any help would be appreciated.
