I'm not quite sure what you're asking, and am confused re the generations.
.
When you say "Mr. Ringham my great grandfather" - are you assuming that Ada's father was a Ringham?

Ada was born illegitimately - record already posted.

Ringham was her unmarried mother Emma's name. Emma was not married to a Ringham - nor to anyone else at the time of Ada's birth.

If you mean Ada's grandfather -

Emma's baptism:

Emma Ringham
in the Somerset, England, Church of England Baptisms, 1813-1914
Name Emma Ringham
Baptism Date 19 Feb 1854

Emma married Henry Batchelor in 1898:

Emma Ringham

Name Emma Ringham
Registration Year 1898 [1898]
Registration Quarter Oct-Nov-Dec

The 2019 entry says Bingham not Ringham. As there are several males in that list you should be clear as to which Bingham/Ringham you are referring to.

Most library services have free access to Ancestry and sometimes and/or FMP

Birth record shows that Ada was illegitimate

You will probably never be able to identify her father

Why did you think her maiden name was Batchelor?

Surely you checked your mother's birth details?

John

John Report 8 Mar 2019 23:50

Could be Ringham though couldn't it.

John

John Report 8 Mar 2019 23:30

ArgyllGran Yes you got her.

Ada Brown, MN Batchelor was my grandmother, married to Wallace Brown [not Wilfred], living at Martin Street, Bristol

Ada had three siblings Emily 1879, Rose 1880 and Alf 1881, all in Bristol , but their parents are a mystery at moment.

I don't think she or they were from Portsmouth, but from Bristol.

Did you perhaps mean Wallace, and not Wilfred, John?

If so, where did you find the surname Bachelor for Ada?

I don't see the birth of an Edith Ada Ringham, not the marriage of an Edith or Ada Bachelor to a Ringham (which could have been a possibility).
