It looks as if the name originally was Kettle :-)

Its very strange, because there is the 1922 Caroline Frances as above, and also the 1926 Caroline. Caroline F went on to marry Charles Collins, and in her will it says she died at 65 Buckingham Palace Road.

Thanks, I just found the christening record - but it seems they named 2 daughters Caroline

It's not unheard of to have two children with the same name even though the older one hasn't died, though must have been confusing - or maybe CF was known as Frances!.

Maybe the 1841 enumerator got the daughters Harriet and Caroline mixed up ?

Maybe Harriet was born c1826.

Have you found her in later censuses?

Well, maybe he just wrote the wrong age for Caroline - grasping at straws.

I had an amusing thought yesterday - wouldn't it be funny if Anne's paternal grandmother, Agnes M Kelly, was related to Peter Kelly; that her son Douglas was posted to Scotland during the war so went to visit his Scottish relations, and met and married Anne's mother there in 1944.

The daughter in law of Peter's son Peter has sent me a photograph of Peter Snr, so I'm passing that on to Anne today.

Well that's a blow - I've had an email from GRO saying they can't trace the marriage of Montague Harrington with Agnes Kelly. I copied all the details from FreeBMD, so can only assume they got it wrong somewhere. I was counting on that to give me Agnes' father's name and occupation - I think I might have found her, but without anything concrete to go on its very difficult.

On Freebmd, one of them has the page number Mistranscribed. Agnes is page 915 and Montague is page 916. You could try reordering it with the other page number.

Have looked at the images. Agnes's is clearly page 915 but the image for Montague's is blurred. Looking at the other numbers on the page, I think it should be 915. Pity, the GRO didn't look a page either side!

On the Ellison family tombstone in Killeshill, Dungannon - http://prntscr.com/mphiff - there are a couple of Bleakley children. I can't find them, or their connection to the Ellisons. Any ideas please?

Looking at the year of birth for the grandchildren, I wonder if they could be great grandchildren?

Marriage of son Arnold so Adeline on the gravestone is Arnold's daughter b. 1916. I wonder if she married a Bleakley and is the mother of those two children.
