i wonder if william had to show a baptism record to start his apprenticeship as a gold engraver as there was no birth certs till 1837 |

I did write a post but it seems to have disappeared but I was saying that at first I had thought that Francis + Elizabeth had possibly had a William in 1823 who then died and then they had another one c1834. However, the baptism in 1848 disproves that. |
