Having ended up with a Philip in Liverpool who is on my father's birth certicate, I have to accept he may have been a fiction. as there is no trace otherwise |

Reading through the threads, I see that the mother registered the birth, so there is no PROOF anywhere of the name of Squire Scott's father. He may not even have had the surname Scott. |

Ignore other trees unless they have documentary proof. |

If you have not looked into your tree for that long then it is worth going back over old ground. New data sets are continually being made available. |

As I have said above Philip, I believe that the one who died in 1914 was very probably Sarah's brother. That is the occupation he had on the 1881 census posted above above. |

This was my very first Philip, that I rejected because his occupation was stone quarryman , nothing to do with the cotton industry, Perhaps I made a mistake I will look through it again |

No - That was a different one. - Can't quite remember where I found the details but I think he was about 51 when he died. |

This is just a wild guess - at least the age would fit! |

Could this be Sarah Ann before she married Edward?? |
|||
|
Dea | Report | 26 Dec 2018 15:25 |
Yes - that's all I have been able to find but I don't see Sarah Ann or Edward on 1891 and on 1901 'that' Edward says he is single.??? |

Interesting that Musin (1881 census) is born County Mayo and a 'widower' with a son James who fits - roughly - with the one living (1891) with his mother (born Co Mayo) |

That Edward in 1901 is single |
