	Reading through the threads, I see that the mother registered the birth, so there is no PROOF anywhere of the name of Squire Scott's father. He may not even have had the surname Scott.

	Having ended up with a Philip in Liverpool who is on my father's birth certicate, I have to accept he may have been a fiction. as there is no trace otherwise Thanks for your help Philip
