Re the marriage cert, Christina -

I've submitted a correction to Ancestry, though it probably won't be acted upon for ages.

Interestingly, the image also shows Sophia's sister Emma's marriage the following year.

In the margin is a note: Richard Bull Sarah Bull (bracketed together. Maternal aunt.

I'm guessing they were godparents?


Most of the other entries have 3 names in the margin though, so 'Maternal aunt' presumably refers to an unnamed sister of Sarah's?

wonder if it's possible to go any farther with Sophia's father John Paxton looks like he was born around 1810 from the 1851 census.

???? this is a few years too early, but Mixbury's just a mile or so from Finmere.

I don't see any other likely baptism - but that doesn't mean this one's correct.
