Help, I'm trying to find information on Edward Davies who was married to Rose/Rosa Charlotte Kate Haines. They had I believe 6 children between 1893 and 1904. Rose/Rosa remarried to Walter Edward Gatford and had a further 3 children and later emigrated to Australia in 1927. I also believe that Edward Davies must have been killed in service. What I need to know is the birth date and census information for Edward.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Frank.

You don't say where.
Is this their marriage - a bit later than expected maybe?

If Rose was correct in 1911 saying she had had 8 children, then that would have included both marriages.
There appear to be 3 Gatford children, so perhaps 5 with Edward Davies was correct?

Do you have Edward and Rose's marriage certificate. If not you need it for Edward's age, address, occupation and the name and occupation of his Father.
There are many Edward Davies. They married after the 1891 census and he is missing from the 1901.
Rose married using just her first name. Maybe Edward had a second name to help locate him that he didn't use at marriage?
Find My Past has some Boer War records, if that's where he was, but unfortunately scanty personal / identifying information on them.

Here's Harry, born post 1911 census
GATFORD, HARRY LESLIE DAVIS Order GRO Reference: 1912 M Quarter in EAST PRESTON Volume 02B Page 589 Order
Another spelling of Davies this time, rather than the earlier Haines / Haynes. None of the Gartford children should have been registered with Davies - should always be the Mother's maiden name, but probably depended on how the question was asked.
