Have only just returned to Genes Reunited and found several messages with regards to my search for William Benbow Ashton. I am still missing some information on William as to his whereabouts from 1939 when he was living on the Wirral and when he came to Nottingham after the war as far as I know he joined the army in 1939. |

An Ashton/McAleny daughter was born in Basford reg district in 1944, so a) Margaret was still around at that time; and b) they were living in Nottinghamshire. |

He was in Cheshire in 1939 as has been posted above, and his death was certainly in Nottingham - again as posted above. |

Thank you to everyone who forwarded me information with regards to my search for William Benbow Ashton. The information has been vey helpful. Still trying to fill in some gaps from 1938 to when he died which I believe was in Nottingham. |
