There were almost seventeen months between Nellie's baptism and the 1912 voyage.
Plenty of time to have come to the UK and given birth to Miss T.

(Oops - already said by Kucinta.)

Could she have been in England visiting relatives (or some other reason) and then gone back in 1912?

There's nothing to stop Bridget having travelled to England between 1910 and 1912, and maybe waiting a couple of months after the birth of the third child Miss T Crackett an Infant, before travelling back.

Just a pity Birth Certs aren't cheaper to buy - or it would be worth checking that one out.

I also believe the info is correct but as I said to Kathleen my only problem is if she was in SA for her daughters baptism in 1909 & 1910 then she was already in SA when the ship left Southhampton. My mother said she was from the Free State in SA.
My grandmother is a conundrum.

If the passenger list that Kathleen posted is correct, which i believe it is, the only infant Miss T Crackett I cound find is this one, who adds yet another MMN to the mix.

Births Mar 1912 Crackett Thomasina Campbell Morpeth 10b 921

EDIT: Was she named Thomasina after her father Thomas?

So is her mother nee Bridget Veronica Campbell?

I suspect that Miss E Crackett could be known as Ellen/Ellie/Nellie.

I was posting the South Africa baptisms for the benefit of helpers on the thread.

Thanks a million Kath. I have seen this info before but never persued it because the ship left Southhampton in 1912, however, Bridget and her husband, Thomas, were in South Africa in 1909 attending Sarah Jane's Baptism. I have the Baptism document.
Thank you very much for your kind help.

Bridget Ellis

I am still trying to find information on my grandmother.
My grandfather, Jesse Louis Bush born on 23 November 1883, in Birling, Maidstone, Kent immigrated to South Africa early 1900s where he met and married Bridget Veronica Crackett born 1887 I believe her maiden name was Jackson. My grandmother's first husband was Thomas Crackett.. They had two daughters Sarah Jane Born 17 July 1909 and Nellie born 3 November 1910. The two daughters were baptised at the Parish of St Mary's of Jeppestown,Johannesburg. The witnesses at Sarah Jane's baptism, 8 August 1909, were Walter Ashton, Jane Scott and Isabel Crackett and at Nellie's baptism, 11 December 1910 were Agnes Williams and William S Walker. My Grandmother died (8 December 1929) and was buried in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. I do not have a date for the marriage between her and my grandfather. so I presumed it must have been before 1920. They had two sons, Alfred Bush born 1920 in Johannesburg and my father Harry Thomas Bush born 3 May 1922 in Cape Town. We have so little information for the time between her marriage to my grandfather and her death. On my Uncle's, Alfred Bush, birth certificate his mothers maiden name is recorded as Jackson and my father's, Harry Thomas Bush, it is recorded as Cosgrove. The maiden name on here death certificate is Crackett. I can only presume that she might have been married twice before she married my grandfather. I would appreciate all the help I can get with this matter. Thank you very much
