Do you think William and/or James came from there?

How did you work back to them? I can't see any sign of either of them in Northumberland, whether with the dates as you've given them, or the other way round.

The records posted by Malyon are all for Co Durham, not Northumberland - although the 1738 christening record could fit in other respects..
