	There may be some truth in it, but you'd be better off documenting it correctly. If you're confident that the book has recorded the correct marriage, order a copy then follow through. Within the last 12 months, GRO has released a new index, free to search, giving the mmn for births from 1837 to 1917. Its a great help sorting out the parent's names.

	That's a possiblity, malyon, if it weren't for Pauline/Roberts belief she was born in Seaham. Do you have a copy of John Kennedy's mc to Spooner? What are the details please?
