So just found that Berta passed away in 1988 in Torbay. So now my hope is to find any children any assistance would be very much appreciated please xx

Aww so she isn’t a sibling then ?? thinking about it if she was adopted her name at marriage would be different, like my mum became an eastcot x

That’s what I have said to my mum but think she just has hope. Tbh by all accounts we know my mum had a lucky escape and was adopted by a wonderful lady, who sadly passed away when I was just 7. Her real mum didn’t only reject her twice she rejected us too but it was her loss! Her real family were like vultures when her biological mum died and stripped the house within hours. Apparently my mums cousin who was a half niece to Brenda has a box of Brenda’s belongings but although my mum has requested several times she is relunctant to share for some unknown reason. Personally think she would have been better off never knowing anything bless her. Can’t thank you enough for helping xx

Talking to my mum last night I am now forgetting the possibility of sisters and following a lead from a lady that worked at the orphanage that my mum was luckily enough to find many years ago that Kathleen had a boy after my mum. It really is a mind field x
