Erika- I'm aware the poster needs the marriage certificates to confirm Joseph's father/ age etc- I was just querying your statement at 2 Aug 2018 15:53 "These are the parents and sister of Joseph W born 1918"- which didn't make it clear that it was your opinion and not fact. I'm glad you've now made that clear and that other options can now be explored as well. :-)

Austin
I obviously don’t 'know' they are the parents, any more than anyone else on here ‘knows’ anything. I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to claim that.
Everything I have posted is speculative, as it is for everyone, apart from his two marriage records
The poster needs Joseph’s marriage cert to get info about his father, and she has already indicated that she intends to do just that.

I had been following this one - Walter Wright Mason m Mary Ann Grainger - they 'did' have a Joseph Wright Mason but he was probably the one born in 1918:
Name Joseph W Mason Registration Date 1918 Registration district Darlington Inferred County Durham Re-registration Year 1918 Mother's Maiden Name Grainger Volume Number 10a Page number 20 Household Members Name Age Joseph W Mason
Marriages Mar 1907 (>99%) ALLINSON Joseph William Bedale 9d 957 Scan available - click to view Grainger Mary Ann Bedale 9d 957 Scan available - click to view MARWOOD Evelyn Bedale 9d 957 Scan available - click to view MASON Walter Wright Bedale 9d 957 Scan available - click to view
The district Bedale is in the county of North Riding of Yorkshire; information about it can be found here

I'm not certain on that Arthur Mason/ Olive Grainger marriage- there are several possible Mason/ Grainger marriages.
ErikaH how do you know those are the correct parents for the Joseph W Mason born 1918 Durham?
