Thank you EricaH so I can't prove the link to Charles Darby etc but it has been fun while it lasted! |

Hi EricaH, we got to this point bit by bit as this thread details. When I I originally started into my family research about 18 years ago familysearch took you into IGI, Parish Records back into the 16th century but those days are long gone! |

Thank you Maddie, that looks very promising. Sorry to have been a while but my main task at present is in the garden, getting frazzled, while 'working' |

Going through all the posts repeatedly I have built a fairly clear understanding of the life and death of Charles Darby Wells but the question of his first wife Elizabeth's death has been lost. My first reaction was to check FreeBMD but of course BMD didn't start until 1837! Sometimes deaths get a mention in Parish Records, along with the Marriages and Baptisms ? |

Thank you Kathleen and Sylvia. It seems that Charles D had a whole second family in Scotland, taking us to his death but my interest is in his first family in Kirkthorpe and his parents Richard and Jane, in Cambridge. Is there any more info on them visible please? |

Thank you all for your finds, I shall have to peruse them for some while to see if I can tie them down to just one individual. |
