Researching family for a friend I find Andrew Hogg,38, Wife,Jeannie,29 and children
Elizabeth,11,Thomas,9,Jeannie,4 and Andrew,2,living at Cobden St.West Hartlepool.
All are registered as born Scotland.Could anyone help in tracing the family before they came to West Hartlepool.? I found a tree on Ancestry relating to this family but they show Andrew dying earlier than the 1901 Census(above)seems to show.

NB Ratho was in MLN, not WLN - it's where you tun off the M8 for the Forth bridge.
I don't know what effect the county boundary changes of 1891 had in this area - they did move my dad's uncle's p.o.b. (near Fetterangus) from Banff to Aberdeen.
