The fact that Mary and Peter are living with Mary's brother in 1901 confirms that the 1872 birth with maiden name Littler is correct.

Yes this is what I had recorded but I think there was another Mary E Pennington born in 1872 in Lancashire and I wasn't sure if I had the correct Information, I only New that my Mary Ellen married Peter Marsh.

Yes this does appear to tie in thank you for the research, It also confirms his wife as Mary Flood as I had picked up from other public Ancestry trees Mary Ford.

Well- AG has found his wife in 1871- she's a widow. So the above death for 1862 seems likely

Yes you are correct my James is the coal miner but I haven't found him in 1871 or 1881 other than Kings Moss Farm and not confirmed his death records ?

Thomas's(1831) father was James Pennington (1804) I was wondering if this was the same James Pennington aged 77 living with his brother at Kings Moss Farm Rainford in the 1881 census as I can't confirm James parents or siblings ?

Can't see a death for Thomas, which is why I've been looking to see if perhaps he and Mary had separated.

Possibly his death has been recorded with the wrong age.

My Thomas is the one that married Mary Littler (appreciate this information as I didn't know this ) but after the 1871 census he is not with Mary and she is recorded as a Widow in the 1881 census, Is there a death record for Thomas ?
