Trying to find birth record/parents Edward Murray b.1851/2 Surrey. 1861 census listed as 'Edwin' with Michael Murray c1826 d bef. 1871. 1871 census Edward c1852 age 19 boarding with Thomas Murray at home of Edward Murray c1820-1892 (my gt gt grandfather) so would have been alive for Edward's marriage 1875. Edward married 5/9/1875 (Emma Alma Potter) father given as Edward Murray dec. stone mason. I'm stumped any help appreciated. Sheila Murray

From the GRO this looks the more likely birth, as there is no corresponding marriage in England as far as I can see?

So, although the age is out, is it Michael (Mary's son)- has he been added on the 1851 census twice? Both born in Ireland, both Stonemasons, both married.
I think the family were from Clonmel too.
