Harry Dixon b about 1895 would appear to be Bertie's uncle not his dad..it may be best to buy a copy of Bertie's birth certificate to confirm his parents names.

According to this, it appears that we have the correct family!

There is the address of Penrith Road (on then 1939 register for Bertie and his mother Isabella), there, she is also shown as Laundry Proprietor and he, a Master Laundryman - the article links them with the Keswick Steam Laundr, which the family owned.

That links perfectly with the 1911 posted by rootgatherer where Isabella is married to Joseph B.

It would appear that Bertie's son is mistaken about his grandfather being 'Harry' (he may well have been referred to as Harry as a nickname??) but his grandmother 'was' an Isabella.

That is certainly the correct family for the 1939 ones I posted as in 1939, her son John + his family were also living in the same house although they did not show together on the household transcription.
