Having read my wife family bible on the Ireland`s I have found out that Thomas Ireland who married Elizabeth Nee: Cragg was the first cousin of Captain James Cook and in 1775 they obtain a kit of baskets made of fishes` teeth and grass from Otaheite and a necklace made of Bird of Paradise feathers that were brought over by Captain James Cook, F.R.S.,about 1775 Unfortunately in 1931 the Estate of the Ireland Family was `Sold` some 540 acres in Billingshurst West Sussex .plus a lot of items went missing. Would love to know if there is any relation ? of Elizabeth Cragg born in 1792 who father was Thomas Cragg Wife Ann Regards : Steve Gover
