hi i don't know if any one can help, we know above is correct but my nans sister who was grace amelia stanford married a john hopson but he died at age 26 in 1928, so he could not have fathered dorothy iris and betty as he was dead

He is alive on the 1939 register, which was the first reply to your original query

Seems he didn't use 'Miles' when he married
