Yes those war records are Thomas Whites. SERN 2005 POB Mackay QLD: POE Rockhampton etc.
As for where he came from I think he was from Rockhampton but I haven’t found out yet where in Australia that is
I thought Violet had a daughter called Peggy who was his daughter, but from what you’ve all found it seems she had more children, of whom only one is Thomas child.
Thank you for what you’ve found out so far. I Thank

17th April 1920 - Wiltshire Times and Trowbridge Advertiser

In loving memory of my dear husband and dear daddy, Private Thomas White, who was killed in action in France on April 18th 1918.

'Only the grave of a hero,
Only a mound of earth,
Far from the land of Wattie, the place that gave him birth.
Somewhere in France he's lying, he answered his country's call,
He died an Australian hero, fighting to save us all'

From his loving wife and child Ms V White (nee Violet Holloway), Bridge Road, Queensland Mackey, Australia.

Glyn Report 26 Jan 2018 07:51

My grandmother, Florence Holloway, married an ANZAC from New Zealand in the 1st World War. He survived and they were married for many years. Her sister, VOILET MARY HOLLOWAY 1898-1957, also married an ANZAC from Australia. Sadly he died in 1917 the year they were married.
I think Violet went to Australia as she had a baby girl, named Peggy ( I think). She did return to Wiltshire and I think she died in Urchfont.

It’s a sad story, and I know other people had the same tragedy. I would like to trace what happened to Violet, but also what became of her child. Her husband’s name was THOMAS WHITE and he died in 1917.

Thank you
Glyn
