Hi all

Tying up a couple of loose ends, and wondered if anyone could find the following family in 1939 please:

William Edgar Skeels b1894
Alice Longstaff Skeels b1891 (they married Tynemouth)
Joseph Routledge Skeels b1924 (Durham)
Dorothy Skeels b1929 (Southampton)

They moved about a fair bit, but eventually lived Mossley Hill Liverpool.

Thanks Prickles, that is defo Alice & Dorothy as that was where they were living when Alice & William died. The house was sold in 1995, and I lost track of Dorothy after this - think it may be her death registered Carlisle in 2001 - but not sure so could someone check the dob on the death registration please?

William may have been in the navy at the time of the 1939 lists, so probably not listed. As for Joseph - I know he died in Carlisle in 1994, could someone check the dob on the death registration?

So it's Joseph on the 1939 - don't know what family connection there was to the Bakers, nor what connection there was to Denbighshire area, bit of a mystery really. I didn't ever meet Joseph, just Dorothy when we visited my aunt & uncle (William & Alice) in Liverpool when I was a child.

Hi again, yes I have Alice & William's deaths & probate details. And wanted to establish where/when Dorothy died, although the Carlisle death looks the most likely at the moment - maybe before she sold up in Liverpool she went to her brothers in Carlisle.

One last thing, Joseph's wife was Enid Jean Snowball b1928 (they married in 1955, Durham) and she died in 2010 (got the probate record), but can anyone find her on the 1939 register please?

Think her parents were Robert and Rebecca (Adamson) who married in 1928.

If she died in 2010 then her record is unlikely to be open on the 1939 register

So maybe find Robert Snowball and Rebecca (nee adamson) then? It looks like they married in 1928, and Rebecca may have been born 1903 ish in Durham?
