Find Ancestors

I am looking for George Onslow & Caroline (Nee Finegan) in 1861 & 1881 census.

I have them in 1851, 71 & 91, but not in between!!

George was born c 1822, Wapping Middlesex & Caroline 1831 St. George in the East, Middlesex.

Also trying to find if they had any more children that what I have already found -

Caroline 1849, George 1851, Francis William 1853, George 1855, Caroline 1857, Mary 1860, Charles 1870 & Alice 1871.

Any clues??

I think this may be them in 1881, it does look rather like Onsbury on image but there are no Onsbury births

At least 5 of 9 children (9 That I know of) died young. 2 married, 2 not sure about yet.

Infant mortality was bad......

They don't appear to be in Grove St on the 1861?

How many more children did she have that didn't survive??

Other branches of my family had 5 - 10 children and yet most lived. Poor Caroline having so many die.

Yes, I know, mortality rates at the time were high, yet it is still harrowing enough to deal with......

Looks like George initially followed his father as a hairdresser as per on William's baptism, then change occupation

Just out of curiosity, is there a sister called Sarah Rebecca Onslow b1826 also in Wapping?

If so, then she married Francis Finnegan (Fenegan - or whichever spelling it is! ), Caroline's brother.

I'm tracing the Finnegan family forward, but noticed the same Onslow name.
