the death I posted matches jane's age I did look for a death in the name jane beswick but found none so perhaps she did marry but not finding marraige |

strange that jane twigg died in 1927 same year as Julia and same quarter both in macclesfield |

Thank you for all your help I am just about getting my head around it so it looks as though Thomas left is wife and young son and started a life with a new family I didn't know they could chang there names or did they do that so avoid been fround upon xx |

Strange that we don't see Thomas and Julie together in census and in the 1871 census it says Julie sisters law and not daughter in law to James what do you think xx |

Maybe the marriage didn't get off to a good start. Thomas and Julia Twigg were married on 10 Sept 1870, they are living in different Twigg households at the 1871 census. Their first child, Mary (or Maria) Agnes Twigg is born on 21 May 1871 (that's 36 weeks later, I think). I can't find any civil record of her, just her baptism in St Alban's Catholic church on 29 Jun 1871. The godmother is Ellen Fox, Julia's elder sister, with whom Julia and her son John Twigg are living in the 1881 census. I can't trace Mary Agnes Twigg after her baptism. |
