So we know that richard would not have died before 1822 so the probable date of death is 1824. But have we any evidence for his birth as being 1789 . If we had date of birth proof it would mention his father . I have seen richard listed on ancestry as being born in bury or padiham but not really any father named. ? :-S |

on another note i did think that perhaps there was a hoyle connection as richard and bridgets first child was giles hoyle hargreaves and i did find a wedding at st leonards in padiham for john hargreaves and bridget hoyle with a witness to that wedding being giles hoyle also, which makes me wonder if richards parents could have been john hargreaves and bridget hoyle and they perhaps had him out of wedlock and didnt get him baptised. I am now going to look to see if i can find a baptism of a richard hoyle for the time period. :-S |

well, no sign of richard hoyle baptism but i think somehow there must be some connection as giles is not that common a name and i think that to have your first child named giles hoyle hargreaves must be for a reason ....possibly . ? |

This might also be a possibility; |

true. Though i did think that somewhere they had some evidence to name john as a father of richard. Perhaps from a memoir? |
