Margaret, a tip for the future, if you already have a thread regarding members of a family, even if it is someone else in that family that you are now searching for, then it's really best to continue on that original thread or put a link to it...it just saves helpers duplicating searches already done and speeds things up enormously:-)

Using the relatively new free to use site - https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp shows mother's maiden name for births from the start of registration Q3 1837 through to 1916 where other sites only show from Q3 1911. Where no mothers mmn is shown it usually means child illegitimate.
The same site will give you ages at death from 1837 through to 1957 (so covers those years where the age is not available - up to 1866 on other sites). The only thing you have to be aware of with the deaths is that the site can't distinguish between months/years so affects any death 1 - 12 months.
