Hi Sarah Daniels married Richard Oakley in 1880 in Stepney (GRO Index)These two had five children between 1882 and 1891 who appear on the 1902 census as step-children to Sarah's second husband,Edward James Drew. I should be able to find Richard and Sarah in 1881.Even if Richard died before the 1891 census there should be an entry for Sarah and children (Sarah married Drew in 1795 in Lewisham. Without the census I have no idea who this Richard Oakley was.Can anyone please help. Regards Wendy ps Sarah Daniels was born in Heston,Hounslow Middlesex in 1856.and the last three children were born in Guildford Surrey

This is curious, Sarah's details match 1901 as do her 2 sons Herbert and George but the surname is Brown and she seems to be married to William Brown. Edward Drew is a boarder.

Sarah was evidently still using the name Oakley for Richard born 1891 ( after the 1891 census I assume) Results: Name: Mother's Maiden Surname: OAKLEY, RICHARD EDWARD DANIELS Order GRO Reference: 1891 J Quarter in GUILDFORD Volume 02A Page 79
But does seem the one that Margaret has posted, Possibly just been added as Mrs Brown , or maybe just living with him.

Hi Again Sarah Daniels married Richard Oakley Sep Qtr in 1880.In 1881 she is living with William Browm but there is no death record for Richard Oakley which fits the dates above.Do you think it possible that William Brown is Richard Oakley,All the children born in the following ten years were registered as Oakley.I'm not sure about the 3 week old John in 1891 but he must have been the child who died (mentioned on 1911 census) Wendy
