Possible Births- must be more than one couple:
THOMPSON, GEORGE mmn: ILIFFE GRO Reference: 1877 J Quarter in LEICESTER Volume 07A Page 296
THOMPSON, WILLIAM mmn: ILIFF GRO Reference: 1877 J Quarter in BURTON UPON TRENT Volume 06B Page 419
THOMPSON, HARRY LEONARD mmn: ILIFF GRO Reference: 1881 J Quarter in BURTON UPON TRENT Volume 06B Page 417
THOMPSON, WILLIAM mmn: ILIFFE GRO Reference: 1883 J Quarter in SCULCOATES Volume 09D Page 182

THOMPSON, EMILY mmn: ILIFFE GRO Reference: 1895 J Quarter in HULL Volume 09D Page 289 ----------------------------------
Also this possible marriage: Marriages Mar 1876 Brindley Mary Burton 6b 432 Fox Thomas Burton 6b 432 Iliff Mary Ann Burton 6b 432 <<<<<<<<<<<< THOMPSON William Burton 6b 432<<<<<<<<<<<<<
But this would appear to be this couple 1891:
Name: Mary A Thompson Age: 48 Estimated birth year: abt 1843 Relation: Wife Spouse's Name: William Thompson Gender: Female Where born: Uppingham, Rutland, England Civil Parish: Horninglow Ecclesiastical parish: Holy Trinity County/Island: Staffordshire Registration district: Burton Upon Trent ED, institution, or vessel: 35 Piece: 2205 Folio: 76 Page Number: 12 Household Members: Name Age William Thompson 50 Mary A Thompson 48 William Thompson 14 Emma Thompson 12 Harry Thompson 10 Kate Thompson 5 ---------------------------------------
So the above birth reg for Harry is not the Henry we are looking for.

This needs some serious sorting. If the Henry in 1911 posted by Sylvia is the same Henry/ Harry, then this looks to be his marriage:
Marriages Sep 1910 Moore Lilian Hull 9d 534 Thompson Harry B Hull 9d 534
and Children births:
THOMPSON, HARRY mmn: MOORE GRO Reference: 1908 D Quarter in HULL Volume 09D Page 282
THOMPSON, CHARLES mmn:MOORE GRO Reference: 1911 J Quarter in HULL Volume 09D Page 289 -------------------------
But I wonder if he'd been married before:
Marriages Dec 1905 GLEW Lily Hull 9d 485 McWILLIAMS Beatrice Alice Hull 9d 485 NEALE Charles Hull 9d 485 S THOMPSON Harry Blunt Hull 9d 485
Death of first wife: Name: Beatrice Alice Thompson Estimated birth year: abt 1887 Registration Year: 1906 Registration Quarter: Jan-Feb-Mar Age at Death: 19 Registration district: Hull Inferred County: Yorkshire East Riding Volume: 9d Page: 163
So- where does the 'Blunt' come from- could this have been Charles surname?

Nope- did wonder about this one:
THOMPSON, ALICE mmn:THOMPSON GRO Reference: 1878 D Quarter in NORTHAMPTON UNION Volume 03B Page 59
But if George has details from certificates, maybe he can share the details. Until we know where his information has come from, it's a bit of a guessing game.
Alice might be in the index under Thompson -mmn Iliffe or under surname Iliffe, but I can imagine Iliffe could be mistranscribed quite easily!
I'm done for today- got an early start tomorrow, but I'll take a look in the afternoon.
