I'm trying to get a bit of family background on 2 siblings who became Nursing sisters and who both received the Royal Red Cross. Sorry that below is a bit long winded, but didn't want you repeating stuff already found.
www.araltas.com and google books "Irish Landed Gentry" both give their parents as -
Myles Joseph D'Exeter Jordan and Mary Louisa Graham who married in 1862 at Dublin pro Cathedral (Irish Catholic records FMP). Myles was a Physician and Surgeon in Castlebar, Co Mayo. Found on 1901 census in Castlebar with some of their children. Myles died 1903 Castlebar, probate to Mary and Mary died 1904 probate to Charles Jordan - presume son Charles)
((Beware - Myles Joseph D'Exeter Jordan's cousin Myles Jordan married Margaret Graham, sister of Mary and they were producing children around the same time)).
Children of Myles Joseph and Mary as shown in the references above are as follows. Records have them variously with and without the De Exeter/D'Exeter and variations
William Stephen bap.1863 Balla died 1899 aged 36 Castlebar. Also a Physician and Surgeon and J.P. Bachelor
Margaret Basilia 1864 - have found nothing more on her BUT a Margaret Anne is baptised 1864 Castlebar and I wonder if this is her. There is nothing more on her either that I've found. Can you find anything else?
Mary Paulina - bap. 1866 Castlebar. Died 1884 aged 17 Castlebar
Myles Constantine - bap 1868 Castlebar. Died 1908 aged 40 Belmullet, Mayo. A Medical Practitioner and Bachelor. Where is he in 1901?
Louisa Kate - bap. 1870 Castlebar. Married 1903 Dublin pro Cathedral to James Joseph Loughlin. 4 children born 1905-1909 Castlebar and Ballinrobe. Died 1941 aged 71 Dublin. Found 1901 at home with family and 1911 Ballinrobe. What happened to her children? (Donal, (? a bachelor), registered her death from same address as her)
Edmond Slevin - bap. 1874 Castlebar. The link below shows his marriage 1905 aged 30 when a Chief Constable in Eastern Cape, South Africa to Edith Margaret Nankivell aged 19 http://1820settlers.co.uk/genealogy/settlerbrowsemarrs.php?name=JORDAN Can you find him going out there? Chief Constable seems pretty good going! Did they have children? ancestor.co.za shows a name only, 1917 entry for him (which I believe can only be a death record from the info about the site) but can that record be found any other way? Anything further at all please?
Celia Ellen - bap 1873 Castlebar. 1901 - Hospital nurse Dublin. 1910 - www.kingscollections.org/nurses/j-l/?page=13 shows her initial registration as a nurse with a London address in 1910 with a history of private nursing London/Cardiff/London up to that date. Where is she 1911? She died 1938 Gosport RD Hampshire. Probate to sisters Florence and Mary (see below)
Agnes Maud - bap 1875 Castlebar. She is on the 1901 Irish census at home with family as Maud Agnes. What happened next? Have found nothing else.
Charles Joseph - bap. 1877 Castlebar. Possibly died 1948 aged 71 Castlebar a Bachelor. Is this him?? Shown as Senile and a Labourer. Age fits, but nothing to say for sure on certificate and not an uncommon name. He is on the 1901 census at home with the family, but what after that?
Henry James - bap. 1880 Castlebar. What happened next? I've found nothing else
Florence Mina - born 1882 Castlebar. 1901 census at home with family. Gazetted 1914 when appointed a Sister in Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service on probation and again 1932 when awarded RRC. Died 1948 Gosport RD, Hampshire. Probate to Mary. Am contacting QARNNS Archives.
Mary Penelope - born 1884 Castlebar. Also joined QARNNS, but when - and was awarded RRC 1938. Died Gosport RD 1952. Probate to Westminster Bank.
Ages 1901 census for siblings are all a bit on the younger than they are as per birth records.
Various entries found Thom's Irish almanac for the Doctors both in their visiting capacities and as court witnesses and in the Ireland Dog Registers grant of licences up to 1904 latest.
Don't think i've done too badly for a first real foray into anything more than the Irish census, but I know you'e all itching to get hunting for anything to help. Thanks

In his grave? Was 1901 what you meant to type, GG?

Departures show his UK address as 8 Alhambra Road, Southsea, Hants., age 21 and engaged in Farming. If the death I found in Dublin for his Mother in 1941 is correct, then they must have returned at some point and she must have gone out to Canada sometime. Thanks for the starter AG

Donal's arrival in Canada:
Donal G O'Loughlin in the U.S., Index to Alien Arrivals at Canadian Atlantic and Pacific Seaports, 1904-1944 Name: Donal G O'Loughlin Age: 21 Birth Year: abt 1907 Arrival Year: 1928 (1929 on image) Arrival Country: USA
Also on that record is an Alice O'Loughlin, aged 15. Maybe just a coincidence.
What were Donal's siblings names?

siblings that I found up to 1911 were Mary Muriel 1905, Lilian Elizabeth 1906, Dermott Valentine 1909 (he was the Ballinrobe registration). There could have been more but ? unlikely as Louisa would have been 41 in 1911

A tree on Ancestry gives her name as Margaret Ann Basilia.(No proof offered)
It says she married Michael Hogan, and died 19/05/1947 at 11 North Villas, St Pancras, London.
Presumably this death:
Deaths Jun 1947 (>99%) Hogan Margaret 82 Pancras 5d 355
No sign of the marriage on FreeBMD - I expect it was in Ireland, though I don't see it there either.
The tree says they had 3 children: Irene (1901 - 68); Marie Josephine A (1902 - 1983) - both girls born Dublin. Jack (1903 - ).

Thanks for joining in Glasgow Lass. I'm pretty sure Margaret Basilia has to be Margaret Anne. If that is the right marriage on Ancestry then she would have been just 37, so a chance of child/ren I suppose. EDIT - found by AG - thanks.
I do have the birth reg's, all apart from William as before Registration - sorry didn't say, thought the baptisms would be enough. Having said that, Florence 1882 and Mary 1884, haven't found baptisms.
Thanks for the help so far.
If Henry has been found 1901, then time I look for him in 1911
