Hi again Dea,
Thank you, right it say that James King born 1814 grandson married no wife now I can only find one James King born around 1814 and that is the son of William born 1813 but I have him on 1851 census on Olney on 1851 so wonder if its the same James but on both census?

Maddie, If John and Mary are still alive in 1861 and she died 1862, have you found him after that ? I've done a quick search and no luck so far.

William King married Ann Smith Y/H 22/6/1811 John George King baptised 23/8/11.......son of William and Ann.... William King aged28 buried 23/8/1815
If this is the right marriage they did not have long together. There is an annotation next to the vicars signature, but I can't make it out. Eileen

Hi Eileen,
Thank you, yes that's the right marriage, I do have a copy which I have had for years but never got further back until now. The marriage was by Licence which I have also had for years that Northampton Archives was kind to send me but it doesn't say who their fathers were or why they need a Licence but I'm guessing it was because Ann was pregnant. A William Bedford put up the bond for it.
You say there is an annotation next to one of the records can I ask which one as there is nothing on the marriage copy that I have.
It looks like that when William died in Aug 1815 Ann may well have been pregnant again with their daughter Charlotte who was christened in Oct 1815.

I have just had another look. On the burial record of William there is in the margin, According to the certificate of the Rev John Bosadair ? spelling as not quite clear, sequestrator of Grendon. This is signed by G S Rooks who is the vicarof Y H I had to look up sequestrate! It means to keep away from others. Was he contagious,or a wrong in I wonder.I can't find a reference in the Grendon parish. Don't know if this helps. Regards, Eileen
