Do you mean this one (partially tidied up)
Patricia 4 Jun 2017 23:43 Ellen Jones was born 1869 and married Frederick Johnson Hewitt on the 26.09.1889 in Minera. Wrexham. According to the marriage certificate her father was Hugh Jones (miner but not coal). Hugh I think was born in Llarnarmon about 1833. I don't know who her mother was but it has been said she was Hannah A Roberts born about 1834 in Dongelly Would it be possible for someone to confirm that this is correct and if do did Ellen have siblings. I know it's difficult to trace a family called Jones in Wales but I would be grateful. Pat
patchem 23:47 Have you found Ellen with her family in 1871 and/or 1881 censuses? Where do you believe Ellen was born? Added: Do you mean Llanarmon for Hugh's birthplace?

patchem 06:46 Frederick Hewitt is in a tree on ancestry. It has him marrying Ellen Jones (unknown parents) born 1865, 5 of their children, and Ellen's death in 1918 at age 53. It gives further information on Gladys Hewitt.
ADDED: I cannot see 'one below' - so has that been deleted also?

Seems that way then Andy!.
Patchem was the Frederick Hewitt one, I added yesterday morning (witnesses on 1889 Marriage, Father of Hugh Jones on his Marriage, and possible Baptism of Hugh)
Oh well, that was that then, lol. Finished with it now!.

Sorry I deleted the thread as I didn't think anything could be added to it. I copied alll the information, printed it and put it in a file for reference so it hasn't gone to waste. Thank you for your input. Pat

Pat .................
why did you delete the thread???
All threads are stored on GR's own server, not on your computer. So it is not taking up space.
The advice is always to leave threads up
As you see from this thread, Chris found some information later.
Plus, other GR members use Search to find names that they might be interested in, and so you might have found a contact months or years from now.

I'm sorry if I've upset people which wasn't the intention.
I thought it would be better to delete than people having to plough through old information. By the way I have the marriage certificate of Ellen Jones and Frederick Johnson .Hewitt. They married on the 26th September, 1889 in Minerva Wrexham. That's how I knew Hugh Jones was her father. On the certificate he's just listed as a miner.
I've written to Chris, patchem and Andy to apologise.
If I ever post again I'll remember not to delete. Pat
